About Me

I received my RN, BSN from Duke University in North Carolina and have been a happy Coloradoan since I graduated. My first employer was Children's Hospital in Denver where I fell in love with Pediatric Nursing. I then attended the University of Colorado for graduate school and obtained my MS in nursing and became a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner. After my graduate education I was employed by Denver Health and most recently Kaiser Permanente where I worked with mothers and babies for over 30 years providing hospital and home care services. My lactation skills and passion for helping women meet their breastfeeding goals were deepened in the homes of the thousands of women I cared for in the Kaiser system.

I have been happily married for 37 years and have two wonderful grown daughters. I enjoy caring for many of my daughters' friends when they have their babies. I love the outdoors and spend a lot of time walking, hiking, and taking photos. Another passion of mine is volunteering. I am very involved in my local Woman's Club as well as at the District and State levels. You can find me organizing and participating in volunteer activities several days every month.
